Introduction

At Provide Health, our Children’s Community Nursing Service focuses on delivering specialized nursing care to children and young people with health needs. We offer this compassionate care in the familiar setting of their own homes or within the community. Our primary goal is to minimize hospital admissions and reduce the duration of hospital stays by empowering families and carers to confidently look after their children’s health needs in their local environment.

Our Care Spectrum

We provide comprehensive nursing care in areas including, but not limited to:

• Blood Testing (Refer to our ‘What to expect if your child needs a blood test‘ guide)
• Oncology (Cancer care)
• Neonatal care
• Respiratory conditions (including cystic fibrosis clinics)
• Complex health needs
• Palliative care
• Dermatology (e.g., eczema, wound care)
• Rheumatology
• Renal issues
• Neurological conditions
• Allergies
• Bowel care (e.g., constipation)
• Orthopaedics

Where We Serve

Our service extends to homes and clinical locations throughout the Mid Essex Area, with the exception of Halstead.

Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Referral to Our Service

How to Access Our Care:

Professional Referral: Your child can be referred by healthcare professionals, such as your GP or a hospital consultant.

Self-Referral: You can also refer your own child directly. Simply call the Care Coordination Centre at 0300 1310 111, and select option 5 followed by option 1.
