A former Aviva senior executive has been appointed to the Provide Community Group Board of Directors.

Julie Green has joined Provide Community Group as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee. She has held a number of senior roles in a 30-year career in the Investment and Pensions sector, most recently as Future Innovation and Digital Director at Aviva.

Julie has held numerous Board positions in the Pensions and Investment industry including as a Director of Aviva Pension Trustees, and in recent years has been instrumental in working with TISA (The Investing and Savings Alliance) as part of the Consumer Engagement Committee lobbying Government and the FCA to improve education and make guidance and support more accessible for all.

Julie headed up the launch of Aviva’s ground-breaking direct-to-consumer platform; one of the first innovations to provide simple and efficient ways for consumers to self-manage investments and pension planning.

Julie, who lives in Chelmsford says: “It is wonderful to join an organisation that is making a difference in my local community. Provide’s mission and values really resonate with me, Innovation, Care and Compassion were at the heart of my previous role; making a difference by helping people and giving them the support that they need.

“I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to use my skills and experience in such an outstanding business. I look forward to working with my colleagues to guide the organisation into its next phase of growth and success, making a positive difference to an organisation that is already doing fantastic things, and helping it to do even more.”
