Chelmsford and District Diabetic Youth (CaDDY), in collaboration with Provide Community and Broomfield Hospital’s Diabetes Centre, are excited to announce Chelmsford’s first ‘Discover Diabetes Day’ on Friday 23 February 2024.

Discover Diabetes Day is a free drop-in event, being held at Chelmsford County High School for Girls, Broomfield Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1RW, from 1pm to 4pm.

The afternoon promises an invaluable opportunity for diabetes patients, parents and carers to engage directly with local and national leading providers of diabetes care and accessories for diabetes equipment.

Becky Patel, Chairperson at CaDDY said: “We are so excited to come together with so many key partners to support patients and their families living with diabetes at our first ever Discover Diabetes Day.

“We are also really excited author Gary Rapson will be attending to talk to attendees about his Captain Lantus series of children’s books, an incredible series that really supports and inspires children and young people with the realities of coping with diabetes.”

Stephanie Dawe, CEO Provide Health, said: “This event aims to foster connections, enhance understanding, and provide access to the latest diabetes management technologies, our specialist teams who look after diabetes patients, and resources. It is open to all with an interest or personal connection to diabetes, offering a safe space to learn, share and connect.”

Please note, parking is available at the Rectory Lane West car park (CM1 1RE) as there will be no parking on the school premises.
